…In his book, “The Moment Collectors,” Sam Manicom asks friends and acquaintances share their stories from their travels. It is a collection of 20 short stories from travellers around the globe. Some of the authors are absolute beginners, newcomers to the travel industry, and others are world-experienced travellers.
The authors come from seven different countries, all united by their motorcycle journeys. And in each story, the reader becomes aware of why they are living their dream and riding their motorcycles around the world.
The Moment Collectors is a collection of experiences, and Sam Manicom has managed to leave each author with his own writing style. This is precisely what makes the book special: the different slang and the unique way of telling stories from different nations.
Whether it’s experiences like an encounter with a Kyrgyz eagle hunter, or the difficulties of traveling through the Bolivian mountains during the rainy season, each of these 20 stories is a small world unto itself. The stories are a good length to read one per evening.
For me, The Moment Collectors was also an entertaining and good opportunity to brush up on my English skills. Because the book is only available in English.
